| Day's last hotline caller. Victim of 15 years' domestic violence. Physical, verbal, sexual, emotional, religious. Wants divorce and custody. She incoherently cries her life to me for 2 hours. I arrange her miserable words into a narrative the lawyers will understand.
Exhausted/restless for the next while. Worst interview in career so far. Debriefed with boss, she heard me out and gave me a book to read.
Above all, proud of the client for coming forward. Harder for her than me.
