My older sister has textbook narcissism. While she loves my family, this fact has remained true our whole life and always made it hard to communicate - as she's incredibly judgemental, on edge, and hypocritical.
For another layer she's been through terrible things which has caused trauma, her pain is very real. Unfortunately she also uses her victim status to shield herself from criticism and dig her heels in - even though the fights usually begin with her.

>>755419 I love my sister dearly, I don't want to abandon my sister. Or have my entire family fall apart. She says she loves me and the rest of us as well - although I admit I have my doubts.
But I don't know how to communicate with her. It's less talking to a brick wall and more talking to a feral predator that's ready to tear me to shreds.
I don't expect her to change. But I want to at least carrying a conversation with her civilly. Or at least fight for some respect.
