Unconscionable

| Client is 50 and physically/learning disabled. Couldn't pay bills with $780/mo disability benefits. Went to a predatory lender and took out loan with 125% interest rate. Illiterate and couldn't read loan terms. Bastards let him sign anyway.

Could only afford one payment. Stopped paying and lender sued for 3x the principal. He cried as I interviewed him - he thought he'd go to jail.

This is unconscionable. Name and shame loansharks. Give the disabled a benefit to live on.

| Loansharks are among the vilest professions a human being can take.

Just out of interest, how do you estimate your chances of winning in court?

| I fucking hate that. As someone with special needs myself that's terrifying. Fucky wucky yucky disgusting.

| This shit sounds horrible

He has one of our firm's best consumer lawyers on his case. Consumer law is like debt collection, repo, pawnshop etc.

But, actual chances depend on judge and which lawyer loansharks hire.

| Is your firm taking the case Pro-bono, OP?
