Depends on your character and the hobby itselft I guess. I know people who made their hobby to their job and ended up liking it and vice versa.

I'll give you a better idea (maybe) - make a career that's RELATED to your hobby and/or one that allows you to practice your hobby but doesn't turn the hobby itself into a job.
