Under most circumstances, we reject applicants with >$10,000 in assets.
Today I told an old man he was over the limit. His issue was that the landlord wasn't repairing the laundry room and he didn't have a car to get to the laundromat.
It must suck to be old and have your dwindling life savings disqualify you from fixing your "shit life syndrome".
Then he started asking if it was because he was white and wanted to know if we do "affirmative action". I didn't feel as bad.
