| There might be something to do with algorithms. I do remember specifically Tumblr had a huge problem with porn bots linking to porn sites so I could rank those porn sites higher in the algorithm.

| I think that people that ask dumb and obvious questions on sites like Quora are bots or some employee. Like those people that supposedly make a Quora account just to ask the name of a song that they know a line of the chorus of. They can just search it on Google, but because that dumb question exists, when someone else does just use Google Quora shows up.
Kinda like viral marketing. Taking advantage of algorithms or something
