friends

| i recently realized all my friends can be described with at least one of the following terms: posers, pathetics, and tryhards. its exhausting and frustrating. why do i attract these people? am i one of these people? it's so troublesome. how do you meet unique authentic people?

| Simple, you can find them in less crowded places like the library or the gym. You can also find them taking part in activities that involves hobby like soccer or even art. You know when people are doing something they like, they often lower their guard revealing their true selves.

| Everyone is unique authentic people. You just haven't bothered to really get to know them

That is true to some extent, but there are a lot of people who desperately try to be other people. Who do everything to be as similar to others as possible. I think that's what OP is describing. The ones who don't act like themselves, but instead desperately try to fit in and be like everyone else.

Well there's got to be a reason why they're like that, and that reason matters more, I think.

Absolutely not going to judge you if you can't be friends with them, but I do suggest getting to know them better instead of just labeling them pathetic tryhards.

Oh, I don't label them like that. That's OP. I just explained what I believe OP is talking about. I do have a hard time communicating well with people like that, but I like to see the best in people.

Ah, sorry. The post was mostly meant for op. I was just quoting your post to refer to what you said.

| If you think of your "friends" as pathetic poser tryhards then the problem is with you

| You are mispelling it, it's "firends", "friends" is not a real word that represents anything from the real or fiction world, you are welcome

All good.
