We called the particle 'God particle' not because of its resemblence to any superior deity. It's nicknamed that after a book, and the book was meant to call it the 'Goddamned Particle'.
The name is widely hated by those in the field.
And don't worry, we'll blow up more of them in the future anyway. Don't think too deep into it, g/u/rl.

| So, since we found a particle we called God (Higgs boson) and blew it up, reality has felt strange.
Almost but not quite de ja vu.
Anyone notice, or has this g/u/rl just just succumbed to the maddness of coping with modern life.
