Oxford commas

| They're useless and should be banned.

If you use them, I hate you.

| It should be a hell of a party - we're expecting some strippers, JFK and Stalin

| There is no reason to get rid of Oxford commas and barely one to even be angered by them. Whether you put them in or not barely affects clarity. Personally, I use them, since it sounds more like the way I talk, but if others don't it doesn't bother me.

| THE OXFORD COMMA IS MANDATORY YOU SLAGS

| Whoever invented the Oxford comma is my hero.

| I'm not a native English speaker.... what's an oxford comma?

| >>524370 when we have a list of things, people disagree over whether to use a comma before the last item.

Oxford comma: A, B, and C
No Oxford comma: A, B and C

I usually don't use it because writing reads better with less commas imo, but in some cases (like >>524201), it's needed to keep things clear

| Use what fits you best. Oxford comma is a completely stylistic choice; its inclusion and omission can work for, or against, what you are trying to say.

For instance, compare: we, us together, and him vs. we, us together and him.

Consistency is key, but readability is even more so.
