Movies, anime and books make me wonder. I commuted 11 years to the same building. Looking back it might have not been the best way. Like when some fictional character would just go into the new environment and have a chance to make friends in high school, I still with the same people who already thought that I'm some inadequate faggot. Harder to try befriending people who have preconceptions about you.

depends on the school here in the UK, some are combined but others there is a seperate school. Seperate is more normal.

That sucks, op. I always sort of relish being in a new school because I can start clean without the stigma, even though I still end up an antisocial loser at the end.
Most state schools here are separate, but some private ones are combo. Though, some state middle schools and high schools are so close that the same students meet each other again.
