Like for some mobile games you can choose to download all the contents after the initial ones are downloaded.
Maybe make the music like that so both sides are happy.

| Didn't the old app download the music separately from the rest of the app? Perhaps you could put the music in an obb file and have it be downloaded if/when the user wants to play music for the first time. Google Play and F-Droid provide OBB services.
