how do i go to places

| i've been looking at some cool communities in my city that do weird art show and interesting listening sessions and stuff and then i'm stalking the people involved on instagram thinking how cool they are and how i want to hang out with them but idk if i can just go there alone i think i'll mess it up by being autistic i've never interacted with people like this and i'm bad at initiating but im tired of being at home 24/7

| shows*

| You go to the shows
you show up at the community events
you tell people in that you're excited to be going out to these events for the first time
if you fuck up, you tell people sorry, it's your first time doing this.
It's better to be awkwardly excited and make mistakes than it is to be still, silent and sulking

>if you fuck up, you tell people sorry
its not like im going to ruin something i meant i'll fuck up the interactions or just wont be able to talk to anyone and it will be weird

| you gotta start somewhere, you wont see those people ever again if you do fuck up.

Just do it, I believe in you.

| >>d04df1 I just had trauma in my childhood and overcorrected by masking really fucking hard every single moment of my life.

true but also this is my last chance at making friends with common interests, there aren't that many of them here

| You can practice by just going out without meeting anyone first. Just go take a walk around the places where the events will take place, get used to the atmosphere and of having people around.

Then during the event itself you're at least already used to the place. You might still fuck up or not end up talking to anyone, but just the experience of going there will be helpful.
