Just waking up in the morning, gotta thank God I don't know but today seems kinda odd No barking from the dog, no smog And mama cooked the hotdog with no hog

Op has never had a cold glizzy on a hot summers day. You know back in my day we had a thing called walking. And we had to do it, up a hill, even when you tried going back down hill you still had to walk up hill. You youngsters would never understand

>>1112922 Grilled hotdogs are great, especially because of the texture. I think hotdogs wrapped in bacon cooked over an open flame are tastier though, but I'm boiling hotdogs in water + meat broth + red wine, and parsley rn I'll report later

>>1112927 If these were real frankfurters, this would taste awesome. These cheap wieners I'm using are ok, but you can tell the cooking method tastes a lot fancier than the wiener itself
>Also don't forget to add salt to the broth, or the flavors won't transfer properly.
This + ketchup, mustard, mayo = eh its okay, but something feels off, the condiments overpower the flavor of the wiener
This + ketchup, mayo = somehow worse than before
This + honey mustard = this is the one

>>1112930 The honey mustard does not completely overpower the flavor of the wiener itself, it complements it very well.
The creamyness of the honey adds a lovely texture, and the whole thing leaves a pleasant wine-y aftertaste in the mouth.
I'll try marinating some hotdogs in this broth for 24 hours to check what changes. For now, shits good.
Im using a smooth fruity red wine

>>1112931 It's not been 24 hours yet, but I ate them anyway. The hotdogs turned purple in the marinara!
The flavor got undoubtedly enhanced by marinating for 10+ hours. Tastes good, I tried one with ketchup and mayo and it was good, but the honey + mustard combo was peak.
Overall these are the best cheap hotdogs I had yet.
