shut down all the electronics an hour before bed, listened to some ambient music while daydreaming some nice scenarios, relaxed as hell, went to bed expecting good sleep. woke up multiple times from nightmares, i had to murder someone in one of them i couldn't go back to sleep after like 6AM. anyone recommending to "relax before bed" is a LIAR don't fall for it. just do whatever you usually do, doesnt mean you have to scroll before bed but don't try too hard like i did either

the reason i failed is because, i didn't have a fulfilling day. that's the trick for good night's sleep actually, it's not about what you do before bed, it's about what you do during the day. even if you're inside all day you can still do stuff that requires concentration. you could game, or do something else idk. don't scroll shorts or twitter all day. yes, gaming is actually better than consooming algorithmic feeds, because you have to concentrate on a task for hours

if you do low effort activities all day, your brain will be left with lots of pent up energy and will fuck up your sleep. bedtime routines only work after taking care of all this stuff

If you have a lot of nifghtmares, that could imply you're too stressed/sick/ you have too much stuff going in your mind

I do not like to brag but I'm a person who may only have nightmares like once a year
My secret?
I don't have a perfect life but I try to be grateful of everything I do have, I conciously try to look for the bright side of things and remain hopeful
