Fastest means to learn language?

| Conversation ,writing, everything. Every languages.

| Move to said country

| I have heard it said that the fastest way, or at least the best motivation, is to fall in love with a native speaker of that language.

| >>1080127 I'm afraid no japanese girl will ever love us, g/u/rls.

They said fall in love, no one saying they have to love you back.

| learning language is a marathon not a sprint

but do migaku and stay consistent every day and you'll get there in 6/8 months

| I’m in love! I’m downloading now!!

| easiest method to learn a country's language is to get yourself born there

| good luck

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HIGH IQ JOKE

| Actually, watch shows, series, movies, music, (anime too perhaps) with that language you want to learn. Watch with subtitles in your language but also subtitles of the other language.

Mediocre advice because subs are often wrong

| >>1080177
Migaku is asspensive af. Is it really helpful?

| >>1080316 That's how I learnt English language though. Watching Youtube videos in english, playing games in english, watching movies in english, and reading in english.
If you don't know a specific word, Google is your friend. I recommend searching like this:

"(Insert unknown word here) ("meaning" word written in the language you're learning)"

For example:

"resistance meaning"
"resistencia significado"

I have learnt many words this way.

I learned a lot of English this way too but watching tv certainly isn't the fastest way to learn a language. I spent years as a kid watching English tv and playing video games while studying English in school and sure, watching TV and playing games helped a lot but the core knowledge came from studies.

| And we also learned things that where wrong because we picked it up from subtitles.

Ikr I deleted it after downloading it. I’m going to just use a computerized dictionary and pen and paper and watch media with my language’s subtitles and work it out manually. And do Duolingo and look up how that foreign language school of the us state department does it because they get amazing results

| I don't know about the fastest way to learn a language but immersion is one way to do it. Switch the language of your devices/media you consume. Any word you don't understand you can use an online dictionary. It might be frustrating at first so you can start small like playing a game you know well in another language. Watch videos in your target language and try to copy what was said to help with pronunciation. You can use anki decks for vocabulary and grammar as well

| If you want more structured learning you can take a class. There may be free/low cost options near you. You can also join online/irl meetup group that hosts language exchange. If you meet people who want to learn the same language as you or who speak the language you're learning then that's free practice and a study buddy to help keep you motivated. If you are more introverted then you can see what's the best textbooks people use to learn your target language and read those.

| But it comes down to how much time and quality effort you put into your language studies. You can easily start to see improvement within a week with the right program or resources. So even if you're not fluent in a language after a couple of months, don't lose hope! Keep at it and remember you're learning everyday! Best of luck, g/u/rl~ o7

| Be born there
