is the whole shit going downhill? or is russian bot farm wanting us to believe that for demoralization? or is it going downhill because we were convinced it's going downhill? did we convince ourselves or did ivan do that? because i see a really decent world when i look outside the window, it seems to be doing mostly good! only online do people stink of doom vibes i guess it's either just a skill issue or a per country difference?

it's just that this fantasy was important for certain people, and those people happen to be the ones that catastrophize whenever they are dissatisfied

noteworthy is that this catastrophizing also plays an etiological role, because this infantile motivation and extended attempt to reify something that can't exist only amplifies the shock at the downfall

catastrophizing to get their way, effectively only inflating a bubble, and thereby, the burst

a lot of places are declining but yes the quality of life for the average person in the west and state pf our economies has dropped so sharply un a half century that it would be foolish not to acknowledge it, particularly as nations across the global south are rallying and thriving in the face of deliberate and open antagonisms from a lameduck west attempting to maintain economic superiority in a post-post colonial world where they cant just back it up with a juge navy fleet

I see people all around me, going on with their lives, cities being built and maintained, children laughing and the sun shining on. The West, The North, The East, The South have not fallen. They are rising. The world is becoming bigger and brighter than ever before. Billions must smile.

It'll take a bit, unless there's more environmental/health/war catastrophes that allow for more wealth exchange for the rich, hue hue.
Even then it'll probably look something like cyberpunk or like most countries where you own nothing and die in a litter of 10 before you can walk.
