one time camped at the coast on the border of croatia and slovenia with 2friends of mine and the sky was beautiful with stars and there wasnt a single cloud. we fell asleep in the tents and then suddenly in the middle of the night we are woken up by literal lightning strikes in our vicinity, which continued to barrage the area of our camp for 3 straight hours, couple with heavy rain. it was impossible to sleep so we just poked our heads out and watched the strobe lights! it really

felt like a near death experience. the next morning we each took a pretty hefty dose of mushrooms and had an amazing time at the same campsite right by the ocean. very memorable!! probably not that interesting but ill never forget that night/day (。◕‿‿◕。)

no one will top mine unfortunately. september 11th, 2001. i watched it live on television as the second plane hit the tower. as the people jumped out the windows. as the towers collapsed. as dozens of people died. as the world changed forever.

In 3rd grade I was considered the smart kid. Everyone always copied my worksheets and passed it around, and I was such a little bitch, I let it happen. One day I decided to punish everyone tho. I wrote down incorrect answers for every question. I was almost caught by the kid I handed the paper to, he looked at it and said "6x6 is 48...?", it took so much willpower to poker face and say "yeah". Everyone copied it and got a 0. No one copied my work ever again after that incident lol

that reminds me of a time when i spent half a year living in panama. one day i was out exploring a jungle/forest near where i was residing. i went about 2 hours into the jungle and stumbled upon this amazing wild lemon tree (they werent actually lemons, more grapefruit sized/shaped, but much more sour than a grapefruit). i picked a couple, then as i tried to reach for a higher up lemon, got a thorn into my eye, which punctured my iris. at first it didnt hurt, but then it started to

painfully sting, so i started rushing back to my camp. by that time the eye was fully bloodshot. a friend luckily was able to drive me to the nearest hospital, which was FOUR HOURS AWAY.. anyway, the doctors were able to save my eye, but they said i was extremely lucky that it did not puncture my pupil or go deeper, as i probably would have lost my sight..

I remember being around 7 during a summer break where my family was invited to some sort of mini cruise/ some sort of tour around the waters of a city. After the boat ride I was playing tag on a bus stop that Had these sort of mordernist/brutalist concrete blocks as benches along brick sidewalks. I ended up tripping on one the bricks and splitting my head into the edge of one of the blocks. was hospitalized for a week, I think I had stitches on my head for about a month.

I was driving through Interstate 5 in California one night. It was dark out, but there was very little traffic, so I was going pretty fast. Suddenly, I see a car reversing perpendicular to the freeway. I slow down a bit and lay on my horn - something must be fucked up. All of the sudden, the car suddenly reverses right into my way! I have to swerve to avoid it. Then, with no warning, all of the sudden an upside down car appears right in front of me! I had to emergency swerve AGAIN!

I only had milliseconds to react to that second car, it came on so quick. If I wasn't paying attention or if I had panicked, it would've resulted in a serious collision, I easily could've been hurt or killed. Thankfully, I managed to make it through without any damage or injury. Apparently the first car was responsible for the upside down car - they fled the scene. Probably a drunk driver. Thankfully everyone in the overturned car was okay with only minor injuries.

When I was 16 I had an operation due to a "complicated funnel chest" which required two metal bars to be put in my chest and to break some ribs to then... well it was quite complicated. But the thing was when I was waking up from the anesthesia I remember slipping and out of consciousness, stammering something without knowing what it was, and thrashing about. A few hours later I woke up for real I woke up in the bed with the tubes going into my torso taped to my body and a bit

of blood on the bed, staining it brown. My mother was there and she told me what happened. Apparently when I woke up I began panicking, trying to take the tubes out and when she tried to console me with "mom is here for you" I looked her into the eye and said "you are not my mother" then she asked me my name and I told her that my name is 'Helmut Elbricht' and that she couldnt be my mother because my mother was in the basement that burned and which she helped me escape through a

window because I was small enough to slip through. then I said that I was caught in a forest by soldiers who shot me. And then I began to keep thrashing around in the bed until she could get a doctor to sedate me with a high dose. I have no fucking clue wtf happened that day but it made my mom believe in ghosts so that's that lol. I tried researching afterwards but could find no trace of any Helmut Elbrecht.. very mysterious the whole thing and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

I went swimming during a hurricane! Waded through foam to the sea in the rain, and was nearly impaled by a giant dock piling that was running through the foam like a torpedo.
