| Russia started the war in Ukraine but blaming the other side always gives a slight strategical advantage. It also damages morale less since nobody wants to be a bully.
It is a war after all. Each war is about causing the maximum damage. Tricks like this are necessary.

However, I believe that it is much better to go beyond hate and look at things as they really are.
In the Georgia case, for example, EU conducted an independent investigation and the summary says “…no way to assign overall responsibility for the conflict to one side alone”.
| What I am trying to say is that there is no need to portray Russia as absolute evil. It makes sense for military propaganda but discussions focusing on the truth are much funnier from my experience.
