What do YOU do to cheer someone up?

| I really liked the posy from an earlier thread about coming over with a care package or cooking food. If anyone got any more solid advice or tips they're are heartwarmingingly appreciated.

| When I read that it reminded me of a memory from my early teens. We had just buried someone I didn't know and we were staying at this house out in the country. It was me, this autistic guy that talked about his asperges a lot and eight or so other people who was lamenting and mourning their loss when me and the asperges dude went to the kitchen and started cooking food. I was peeling potatoes when some lady entered he kitchen and made a big thing about us cooking.

| "How can you think about food at a time like this" and soon after other people joined in from the doorway and the asperger dude told them matter of factly that he was hungry and therefore he was gonna eat. After telling them like five times they relented but after a while they started to congregate around the dinner table instead (probably because he food smelled good) so we served everyone.

| And soon after we began eating, the mood started to take a more positive turn. It didn't take long until nice memories about their friend started to surface in the conversation and everyone was talking about all the good things they liked about her.

| I would pre-order the Switch 2 for them.
