it is a great book... my carson mccullers.
everyone in the story is so lonely. they got family but i mean, they do not understand each other... only there is a deaf-mute who always seem to be timid and kind to them, and smiles when they talk to him, earns the trust from others. but he is lonely too. and no one ever understand him.
i think that reveals some truth of life...
