Is it me or did the politics sneak into people's lives more than ever in past years?

| I don't even know when that happened, probably after 9/11, however I also feel like Trump's campaign awaken a lot of people. My parents for example have never voted apart from that one time in the 90's after the fall of the wall. After that - nothing. As a kid I didn't even know who was a president until I was like 14. People would mention politics only when drunk.
Now?
Now everyone's into it. Why? There's no good value from listening to some old farts out of touch with reality.

| I feel like it's because of people's indifference to politics that lead us to this point, me included tbh. We felt so secure in our system, in the global dominance we've achieved, that we stopped paying attention. Because of that I've been trying to at least get involved on the municipal and state level. Federal is too much of a mess to bother with tho. Although I still don't believe in a commie revolution, I'm beginning to share the sentiment that we need a bang to wake others up.

Your post leads me to believe you're some kind of bougie liberal who never suffered a day in their life.
You go ahead and try and solve the problem at the ballot box while people keep getting shot. With luck, you'll be one of the victims.

| >>932804 Nigga I'm gonna have to put off plans for college (again) and get a job soon or imma be homeless in three months lmao.

I don't think voting really solves much, not with how the votes work anyways, but I don't really have the time or energy for anything else. Hit me up when we got something concrete going instead of thrashing our cities and forgetting about it. Like you'd think after Uvalde there'd finally be real dialogue on the police, but nope.

| Assuming OP is from the USA, I feel very relieved that the problems THEIR politicians caused to many parts in the rest of the world finally come back to them. I hope people in the USA will suffer in the same scale THEIR politics made people in other countries suffer. Finally the ignorance and naivety combined with power and arrogance from the USA has to face reality. I hope that old fascist mummy Trump will become president once again to give this shithole-country its death blow.

| I also hate the USA for the sheer stupidity of its people & politics & the absolute AIDS trash that is its modern "culture" full of LGBTQQAI and multikulti, which they then try to force on half the world under code name "The West" and the rest of the world under the name "universalism"

Fuck the USA, keep your hamburgers and toxic politics, the only thing keeping you remotely desirable is your military & technology sector

You will never have proper healthcare

>modern "culture" full of LGBTQQAI and multikulti
Well, those are not the things that make people suffer. That's only some bugbears of dumb right-wingers - who also are very influential in US-politics.
It's rather their bigotry preaching higher values but at the same time violate them with their warfare, torture camps and support for dictators. This bigotry goes equally from liberal to conservative ideals.

| >>932851
And btw. universalims is not generally bad at all. The problem is that the US politics is FAR from being universalistic. In fact they often are the opposite: Particularistic, pragmatic and relativistic.
>Democracy is good, unless people vote for socialists - or anyone else that opposes us-imperialism. There are good (usa friendly) and bad (usa unfriendly) dictators/criminals.

| And no one in the world cares about USAs internal culturure war between conservatives and liberals. It doesn't matter if a Bush, an Obama, A Trump or a Biden was/is president. Democrats or Republicams? We don't care. They're ALL THE SAME SHIT. The only hope for the rest in the world is that the redneck-mob behind Trumpism will ruin it all.

| >>932861 cringe

| I'll always vote, but I'll never talk politics with anyone.

| Barely acceptable tier: USA

Kindly fuck off with that bullshit tier: China

Joke of a "superpower" garbage tier: Russia

| >>932784 Nah its just you and us tuning in politics and some shitty thread thats all

| I realize politics is like gambling and we mostly lose (to corporate interests etc) but occasionally we win big (insert example of something good ???) so we keep playing
