Russian Ruble Is Now Worth Less Than 1 U.S. Cent After SWIFT Bank Sanctions

| The Russian currency dropped nearly 26% to 105.27 per dollar, down from about 84 per dollar late Friday.

This is a HUGE dip, but the ruble has been on a steady decline for 20 years straight. Putin isn’t good at running a country.

Subsequently, several websites have experienced significantly less russian bot activity and russian trollfarm activity since this morning, conceivably because the operators are no longer getting paid.

In putin russia, Danger/u/ doesn't get less bot spam - bot spam gets less Danger/u/.

| This will only hit the average russian civillists. I'm sure Putin and his oligarchs already offshored their money - just like ukrainian politicians and oligarchs did. (e.g. google for Pandora Papers and Selenski)
If you really want to hit putin, you needs to aim at his oligarchs namely at their properties. Unfortunately private property of billionaires is the only value that really counts in the west. At least western oligarchs hang arround in the same beach and gulf resorts.

Most likely. Either that, or it will determine whether they're really from Russia or not. Doesn't matter how much money you have if you can't afford innumerable VPN services because your currency is worthless and no one wants to do business with you.

Let's hope. It's interesting to see which topics completely stagnated on Twitter after the Russian asset freeze because the data indicates that every single one of these topics are 100% russian bot posts.

| >>837050 there's a twitter thread linked in those comments saying that the 100% flattening is probably due to a problem with the data collection service they used, but there has still been a drop in traffic that indicates the same type of bot loss. thanks for the interesting link.
