I know the paki government of 30 years ago wouldn't pull the trigger on their nukes, but it seems like they've become much more religiously motivated since then.
Is there a danger they'll use global unrest as an excuse to escalate? And how far do you all think they'd go?

This thread is dumb.

>>834497 Well. Yes. But that's a cultural thing. Not every culture places a high innate value on human life. It's really a western European moral that's been forced onto the rest of the world more than anything else.

>>834497 just like how people get reminded the importance of hygine and health by the pandemic, we'll need to be reminded the importance of peace and human live by war. And we'll foget again after a few decades, repeating the process.

>>834563 You're surely right about that. I don't know why more of this stuff isn't thought in school. Like, the gross kid would've stopped being gross if he knew how important it was to maintain proper hygiene, for example.
It also would've made him less unpopular in the long run which culminates in him being less likely to fall prey to mental illnesses and therefor pro-war propaganda and other self-destructive behaviours.

Pakistan was founded by indian islamists that were supported by the USA in order to prevent communist successes in the region. Modern Islamism is in most cases the child of anti-communist policy by the USA. Iran is an exceptional case, thought. The iranian theocracy is only an indirect consequence to USA foreign policy. The USA supported "the shah", a puppet dictator, against the once democratically elected president. Under the Shah liberal and socialist opposition was eliminated.

>>5a130c All true. But modern Pakistan has almost constant low-level conflicts with India.
Which is what the thread was about, not anything to do with their founding.
