Why is the current UK gov so ultra corrupt?

In peak cringe they even call Oliver Dowden secretary of state for the culture wars, that's how low we've set the bar.

| Thier not even pretending to hide it anymore, their just really open about how sleezy they are. Silencing or buying out press that dare to criticise them, giving public funds to their friends, weird fascist mandates for school kids and stripping power from the electoral commission fir investigating the government's criminal actions
Even Thatcher was no where near as corrupt as the current Conservative government under Johnson
