Did they just addmited it?

Like were the trump supporters, conspiracy theorists right?

In the article they just explained how there was and I quote "a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working togheter behind the scenes to influence perception, change rules and laws, steer midia coverage and control the flow of information."

| "They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it. And they believe the public needs to understand the system’s fragility in order to ensure that democracy in America endures."

| "The meetings became the galactic center for a constellation of operatives across the left who shared overlapping goals but didn’t usually work in concert. The group had no name, no leaders and no hierarchy, but it kept the disparate actors in sync. “Pod played a critical behind-the-scenes role in keeping different pieces of the movement infrastructure in communication and aligned,” says Maurice Mitchell"

| "Protecting the election would require an effort of unprecedented scale. As 2020 progressed, it stretched to Congress, Silicon Valley and the nation’s statehouses. It drew energy from the summer’s racial-justice protests, many of whose leaders were a key part of the liberal alliance. And eventually it reached across the aisle, into the world of Trump-skeptical Republicans appalled by his attacks on democracy."

| "The first task was overhauling America’s balky election infrastructure–in the middle of a pandemic. For the thousands of local, mostly nonpartisan officials who administer elections, the most urgent need was money."
"In March, activists appealed to Congress to steer COVID relief money to election administration."
"Private philanthropy stepped into the breach."
" The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative chipped in $300 million."

| Like, isnt that huge? They made a conspiracy to change things last second and even manipulate the midia so they could "preserve" democracy and prevent trump from cheating.

Wtf if they knew the guy was gonna cheat(not confirmed he cheated) they should not cheat back they should find the evidence and present it.

| "The handshake between business and labor was just one component of a vast, cross-partisan campaign to protect the election–an extraordinary shadow effort dedicated not to winning the vote but to ensuring it would be free and fair, credible and uncorrupted"

Isnt that just absurd.

| "Though much of this activity took place on the left, it was separate from the Biden campaign and crossed ideological lines, with crucial contributions by nonpartisan and conservative actors."

Isnt that what every "conspiracy theorist was saying?

| "Their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding. They fended off voter-suppression lawsuits, recruited armies of poll workers and got millions of people to vote by mail for the first time. They successfully pressured social media companies to take a harder line against disinformation and used data-driven strategies to fight viral smears."

So the system was a rig

| "After Election Day, they monitored every pressure point to ensure that Trump could not overturn the result."

"For Trump and his allies were running their own campaign to spoil the election. The President spent months insisting that mail ballots were a Democratic plot and the election would be “rigged.”

| "Beyond battling bad information, there was a need to explain a rapidly changing election process. It was crucial for voters to understand that despite what Trump was saying, mail-in votes weren’t susceptible to fraud and that it would be normal if some states weren’t finished counting votes on election night."

The title of this part was "spreading the word"

| "The Voting Rights Lab and IntoAction created state-specific memes and graphics, spread by email, text, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, urging that every vote be counted. Together, they were viewed more than 1 billion times. Protect Democracy’s election task force issued reports and held media briefings with high-profile experts across the political spectrum, resulting in widespread coverage of potential election issues and fact-checking of Trump’s false claims."

| "The racial-justice uprising sparked by George Floyd’s killing in May was not primarily a political movement. The organizers who helped lead it wanted to harness its momentum for the election without allowing it to be co-opted by politicians. Many of those organizers were part of Podhorzer’s network, from the activists in battleground states who partnered with the Democracy Defense Coalition to organizations with leading roles in the Movement for Black Lives."

| Im surprised they just addimited there was as conspiracy against trump and they did supress info and changed laws, all that to "protect democracy".

But how do you protect democracy bay doing shit like that and not being transparent to the people?

I really reccomend reading the whole article since i just clipped what I found shocking.

Tl;dr they rigged the election in biden's favor to preserve the election since trump was supposedly anti democracy. WTF?!

| I am dumb founded that the articles frames all that as what saved the election, they literally rigged things because they belived trump would cheat.

Their saving: manipulating information, collaborating with companies and government, making a conspiracy, interfering with the process of the courts, changing laws in some states and making sure every judge and supervisor was on their side

Trump's cheating: contesting votes and the election on the courts

| extraordinary

| Buddy, that's how american politics works on both sides. Typically republicans manipulate the state apperatus more and democrats the media, but trump alienated the governers and courts and shit who went to bat for bush when he stole the election

| I do hate though how dramatic liberals are about dumb shit like this. Also acting like lobbyists are the same as 'activists'

| >>736848 how is calling for fraud and doing sessions in court to attempt to prove it stealing the election?

They manipulated the law, the information, the voters and the midia but the one who cheated is trump?!

This is a times magazine article, certified and verified source. They are admiting trump was right, and that there was a conspiracy against him. This should be blowing up!!!

| There were many conspiracies for him and against him. What do you think PACs and lobbyists and corporate backers do? Do you think his didn't? If he weren't so unpopular it would have been his guys controlling the narrative like they certainly tried to do. Manipulating the law, the voters and the media - like trying to stop mail in ballots from being delivered, lying about countless things, relying on and purging enemies from another media faction, plus a literal coup?

| >>736854 so you are saying that trump cheating(still no cases or proof of him actually cheating) justifies a conspiracy from the stablishment and the elites to manipulate the midia, the states, the laws, the people and the vote counters? Why didnt they went to courts? Why didnt they just file lawsuits against him and proved he was cheating? Why was trump the one going to the courts and fighing legally while they were all colluding against him?
They are fooling us.

| Did you read the whole article? Its disgusting, they cheated and they are using the still not checked excuse that trump was cheating and was against democracy.

This is beyond trump, this shows how if the elites want they can control the will of the people! That is wrong, that is against democracy and they should all be arrested for what they did.

If the people really are pro democracy, against facism and against dictators, they should be against this! This is neyond trump!

| The USA are a capitalist oligarchy for over 100 years now. And Trump is not exception to it. He is part of the Oligarchy and he made politics for the Oligarchy. Now the oligarchy decided Biden to suite more there needs, because Trump started getting harder to control because he tried to emancipate too much from the oligarchy through populism. The oligarchy already made bad experience with this kind of policy during in 1933-1945 by supporting the mad populist Hitler.

| The Oligarchy are not mad fanatics. They are class conscious capitalists who know how far they can go to keep their privileges by fighting the lower classes. Like previous human sovereigns they aren't omnipotent and permanently need to make PR for their reign. Trump was successful in breaking workers class consciousness and international solidarity. But the bullshit that came up with trumpism just created too much tension, so that it could be a threat to the oligarchy.

| Now it's Bidens job to appease society while continuing trumps oligarchy friendly policy. Politicians like Trump and Biden just play the bad cop/good cop game with people. In the end they all serve a system which takes from the needy and gives it to the greedy.

| Bourgeois democracy as it exists in a capitalist world is not actual democracy. People can only choose different representatives of the same system.

| I just think it stupid how many people fell for this corruption and genuinly belive this was a good thing to do bacause "orange man bad" im not defending trump Im saying that its incrdeible how they can fool the people into willingly breaking the law and constitution by just making trump the bad guy.

This is blatant corruption but anyone that tried to call it out got dismissed as an facist altright conspiracy theorist.

| I wonder why the fuck this article was even made in the first place? Are they really saying that they are heroes? Or are they just testing to see how much it takes for people to finally wake up that all this anti facist, left x right, dems and reps fighting is all rage bait bullshit and that the real facists are the elites and the high class that tries to control the people.

| >>736917
>im not defending trump im just saying he never did anything bad and that its a criminal conspiracy to make him look bad in midia

k sure buddy

| >>736936 read the thread again and read the article, you will understand it better

| Read the bits posted. Doesn't seem like a left-right thing but rather a consolidation of power/control amongst big tech and corporations. Manipulation is not illegal or unconstitutional as far as I'm aware so claiming the results were rigged doesn't make sense. It's the same shady shit that has been plaguing elections for a long time but this one included social media.
