Biden-voting counties equal 70% of America’s economy. What does this mean for the nation’s political-economic divide?

| When you hear Republicans rail against the alleged dystopia and socio-cultural carnage of "Democrat" municipalities -- and their supposed socialist, economy-killing policies -- keep this GPD-by-county graphic in mind. 71% of GDP comes from Blue America.

| Inflamatory bait aside, it is a fact that the biggest cities are in blue states but the biggest farms are in red states so the relationship in not one sided and both sides contribute to one aspect of the country that is vital to it.

| >>734253
How is this bait according to you?

>but the biggest farms are in red states
What does farming have to do with the upcoming problems America is facing regarding how the nation’s economic geography remains rigidly divided? Did you even read the article before posting?

| >>734253
Regarding farming. Food production is around 1% of the GDP. Red states primarily grow animal feed and biofuels while a quarter of all cash crops come from California.

That said, chicken, beef, and pork are often red state products, but blue states can always ramp up their own production if necessary.

Not sure what point you're trying to make there...

| >>734264 its bait because that type of framing is always used as way to say how red states are useless and if there was separation of america they wouldnt have anything to live of.

You can have as many technologies, companies and money as you want but without basic resources these cities slowly wither while food gets more expensive, and transportation becomes harder.

My point is that a Divided America is not as powerful and not as functional.

| >>734266
>its bait because that type of framing is always used as
Sounds like BS to me. Forget that I asked.

>You can have as many technologies, companies and money as you want but without basic resources these cities slowly wither while food gets more expensive, and transportation becomes harder.
How is this even relevant to farming?? Why did you bring up farming in the first place? Are you baiting right now?

| To stay on topic: What do you think the nation’s political-economic divide means for America?

| >>734270 the loss of power of one of the biggest power houses in the global economy

| >>734269 its not bs, the info you provided was already talked about on other places and it was used as rage bait to inflamate division by "exposing" how the red state are leeching of the blue states which is just inflamatory bs that tramples over many factors of managing a country

| >>734272
>>Forget that I asked.

| >>734274 ok, sorry for dragging it

| >Manages to take the bait even though it's not even bait

| so you'd starve without "reps"?
people that work hard = red
people that do things that actually matter = red
people that are closer to nature and human instincts = red
people not born in concrete boxes = red
people that know how to hunt = red
people that can actually feed themselves = red
people that would be more likely to survive the apocalypse = red

people that care about elusive meaningless things like DOW Jones = blue

even then who gives a fuck about blue/red crap

yanks...

| >>734287 well OP did say to forget abput it so, you are just dragging it now. Not that I disagree btw

| >>734289
let's start hijacking political shit threads with wholesome stuff

Typical Republican knee-jerk response to parrot (untrue)damage control the second they hear negative facts about their party. For the love of god at least once open up your eyes and take in the facts. The best part is you don't even need to bait them because they take it upon themselves to get baited.

| *sigh* I'll just go back to shitposting and baiting considering that's the only stuff you people can wrap your head around.

At least I tried to raise the bar.

| >>4f997a
That's usually the way this board goes. No one here knows anything about the political process and are just mouthpieces for anti-intellectualism and anti-science. Just look at the guy putting ten times more effort into crying bait over actually being well-read enough to stay on topic.

| >>734332 and true, most people here cant even hold a discussion and those who can do extended talks only care about their ideology and arent willing to exchange information, they wanna preach more and exchange less, its just segeregational bullshit.

But in my personal opinion, people who do bait threads are even worse since they dont contribute, dont teach, dont learn and then proceed to complain how /new/ is cancer, but they contribute to it

| >>734287 You know that "closer to nature and human instincts" is just a complicated way of saying "monkeys" right?

| >>734438
i would value a monkey's existence more than yours

| /new/ is a joke.

| >>734443 I never said I wasn't one.

| >>734335 I don't think that we can stop the bait threads before we get more people to stop responding to bait. Why the hell does something like>>734287 get a reply? Is there even any way to show the people who reply to something like that that the best course of action is to just ignore it?

| >>734522 I dont think so

| I fundamentally don't understand how gdp works but Biden folk need to get it in their fucking head biden wasn't voted FOR, trump was voted AGAINST.

| >>734287
- people who found their existence on land and real estate property based on traditional slavery and imperialistic warfare business: reds
- people who benefit from exploiting immigrants and see them as people of minor value: reds
- people who see stupidity, corruption, betrayal and barbarism everywhere else but not on their side: reds

And by reds I don't mean reds as in cold war but as in reps.

| >>734670 bruh did you read the thread?

| just wanted to say its funny how dems are all about empowering the impoverished, the downtrodden, the minorities, yet it all doesn't matter when its to their advantage

| >>734742 both sides see themselves as better than the other yet ignore the bad shit that goes in their domain but people are too devided to see how both are the same and refuse to see how they are all acting as useful idiots to the elites, the dont understand that we too busy discussing identity politics and that we are ignoring actual politics and the elitisation of many things we have in society

| >>734745
And horseshoe theory for the 1000th time.
Yes, identity politics gained more and obviously too much attention within the left spectrum. There are massive controversial debates about this failure.

The right side on the other hand is ALL about identity politics. They entirely deny class struggle or mix it up with identiary tropes, like the greedy jew, the lazy latin/Mediterranean/african type vs. the superior honest and hard-working god-chosen white man.

| >>734966 wanting to separate races and judge them under privilege while not taking into account the circunstances of the individual for the sake of equality is just as bad and will create more inbalance.

Both sides suck and both spread segregationalist shit that only creates more political division and civil conflicts.

| And I hate how you just admited that the left is making mistakes but then say that not all of them are bad and that they are trying to fix things, yet you go and lump all the right into a set of behaviours and ideals to say how bad they are.

This lack of selfawareness and hipocrisy is frustrating, you only care about your side and not for what is good or bad, everything that goes against your side is called a "theory" and you are too far up in yourself to see that there is more.

| People who refuse to see the others in the same light as they see themselves are the reason segregation is a thing, they start creating excuses to see them less as humans and desensitize themselves from them, this makes it easier to lump them all as lesser beings, evil, or whatever the hell they want to lable others as.

Thats how things like slavery, genocides and terrorism happen, lump people in a group, make belive they are evil and refuse to analyse and understand them.

| Could you all fuck off from this place, please?

You are filling with fucking american politics and 4chan-esque threads a Venezuelan-waifu bartending-videogame-themed board, do you not have somewhere else to be toxic?

| >>734975 this thread is about american politics, read the title before comming in, and blame OP for making this thread not the people talking in it.

| >>734975 tbf if this were more 4chan-esque there'd be a lot more 'nigger' and 'faggot' thrown around.

| >>734989 yep, people here at least bother to give more opinions than insults, but you can still find people like that here

| STOP TALKIN ABOUT ALL THIS "RED" AND "BLUE" BULLSHIT NOBODY BELIEVES IN TEAM FORTRESS TWO HERE

| >>735042 dont you mean team fortress 3?

| >>735063 how could I believe in team fortress three if I don't believe in team fortress two? baka

| >>735075 because TF2 is real unlike TF3

| >>735081 haha, sorry, it just sounds so hard to believe to me. I mean, I guess you could call me agnostic, though, even if there isn't any evidence for tf2 there's not any evidence against it
