Germany: The bourgeois democracy shows its true colors

Something happened in the east-german federal state "thuringia": The candidate of the smallest and (neo)liberal party in the local parliament was elected with the combined votes from the neonazist far-right party and the "centre" conservative and neoliberal party. This is a warning that history actually will repeat itself if no fundamentally, revolutionary changes are made. In 1933, the first german democracy died, when the conservatives and nationalist party supported the nazis.

In thuringia, the "alternative für deutschland" (AfD, en: alternative for germany) supported the neoliberal candidate against the candidate of the left-party, which won the elections. This is just an example of how the bourgeois "centre" parties are ot really "center" or moderate and how the far-right party is not really an alternative, since they basically support the capitalist system - just with more radical and inhumane methods and ideology.

The left parties candidate, who led thuringia until now, was quite successful, popular and respected - even by conservative and liberal opposition. He was the first an only left party candidate in a leading position in germany, which was long time considered to be "unthinkable", since parts of the left party originated from the east german satelite dictatorship of the soviet union. While former nazists were integrated in west germany, the east german commies had it much harder.

>>624012 That's funny because this inglorious first german constitutional democracy is also known as "weimar republic". It's named after the city weimar, where the constitution was decided, but became soon a synonym for the failure of this democracy to the rise of nazism.. And now guess in which county of todays germany weimar is located ;-)

>>624012 Dumb question: got any sources of their far right behavior? And no, going against immigration willnot do.
Post number #624423, ID: 973fd9
|
>>624383 Yes. The main source of their "far right behavior" are statements of party members and their association with other far-right groups. Even if you consider the federal parties as independent from each other and from their subordinate parties on national level, the one in thuringia is known as the most extreme. They openly proclaim the original nazis "blood and ground" ideology. Also a look at their fanbase reveals what's behind their (really thin) "moderate-centre" facade.

>>624427>>624429 The "commies" and "radikal left" ruled for four years over thuringia, and they were pretty popular. Their party got the most votes in the elections, and their federal prime minister candidate was so popular, that 60% of people would have voted for him in a direct election, according to representative polls. The truth is that the "left party" is rather a social-democrat and moderate socialist party than actual commies and radical left.

Post number #624451, ID: f7c078
|
>>624445 This is nothing but a propaganda lie, originally invented by the nsdap and now reused by neonazist and alt-right groups. The NSDAP was a racist, nationalist, antisemitic and anti-socialist/communist party, that originally relied on the support of "moderate" right and centre partys. The only reason why the term "socialism" is inside their name is because to attract the working masses, which had a very positive view on socialist movements.

Sure)
Post number #624457, ID: 0f5c78
|
>>624455 Yes, sure: Socialism appeals to the ideas of philosophers like Hegel, Marx and Engels. It promotes class struggle and internationalism. National-"socialism" is the radical opposite of socialism, because it is based on stupid nationalist, racist and antisemitic conspiracy theories. Furthermore it's a historical fact, that the military and some important capitalists and industrialists in germany supported the national-"socialists" BECAUSE of their anti-socialism/communism.

Socialism doesn't imply globalism though.

>>624451 no he was a national socialist, he believed in Germans working for each other not against, and being tied together. he also nationalized private banks (the ones led by jews which contributed to the economical misery of the common German worker) that's also pretty socialist. Adolf Hitler wasn't even that right-wing to begin with, he was a conservative extremist but mixed left and right in his political opinions. everything is propaganda to commies if it disagrees with them
Post number #624492, ID: 0501a2
|
>>624459 But socialism theoretically implies internationalism, even thought in practice was and is not always the case. Globalism is a right-wing propaganda-term to frame globalization in their racist conspiracy theories, instead seeing it what it is: a natural side-effect of capitalism.
Post number #624495, ID: 0501a2

>>624468 I'm sorry, but your statement is 100% complete neonazist bullshit. Especially the part with the >jews which contributed to the economical misery of the common German worker is where you lost it absolutely. It's unbelievable that people still or again believe this kind of crap.

And why not directly give us a link to the main "source": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Protocols_of_the_Elders_of_Zion Please learn more about the jewish history, about the diaspora and about christian antijudaism in medieval europe. And stop spreading antisemitic propaganda (I wonder if the mods are also going to ban this).

>>624519 the protocols of the elders of zion is a contemporary document, which consists of antisemitic fake information. And the lie about mass destruction weapons in iraq as not from jews, but from (neo)conservative hardliners like Bush jr, Dick Cheyney, Donald Rumsfeld, etc. The "war against terror" was just an excuse to justify us-imperialism, including establishing military bases in the gulf region and securing oil support.

>>624507 >Then does internationalism not imply globalism? How does socialism imply internationalism in the first place? It's simple: Nationalism is the desperate center to far-rights answer to the issues of globalization, that don't want to see the underlying main problem in capitalism. Technically the lower classes do not own the nation they live in. Public and community property has decreased dramatically in the past, in favor of privatization for a few - even in welfare states.

When an article is written, it tends to be separate from the discussion that follows. In a thread, it's in the same font, same background, same line of text. In this way, it isn't held to a higher standard than just banter. That anyone can create threads and they mix together also creates disunity where the various sections of these 'news' spill into each other.
