U.S Presidential Candidates!

| So the election is coming up in about a year and candidates are starting to run. Who do you want to see run the United States?

Rules: Free-for-all. Anyone is available as long as they were born in a territory of the United States.

| I'm fully outta the loop on this one. That one Beto guy is apparently okay so go him I guess.

| I haven't given too much a shit about American politics anymore. As much as I've defended Trump, the moment he was elected I just gave up on it for the most part. So who're the candidates?

Nuff said

| of the current candidates, andrew yang is by far the coolest. he has all sorts of neat policies, but his most important one is a $1000 universal basic income.

| Donald J. Trump!

| >>540820
Who's that?

| >>540828 it's not Cthulhu
In other words, it's the wrong choice

| I would vote for Dan Crenshaw in a heartbeat, but sadly he's not running. Beto isnt bad, I like him as a person, but anyone that says the Green New Deal is good is a bit iffy for me. I'll look into Andrew Yang. I respect Bernie Sanders, though I disagree with him on a lot of policy. I would *rather* not vote for Trump, but that really depends on if anyone fields a better candidate. Not hard to do, but we'll see.

| Don't know anyone except Cthulhu and I'd vote for it were I American. Trump won the presidency so I don't see why Cthulhu can't.

| Bernie Sanders.

| My first option is President Han Solo, Vice President Indiana Jones.

Second option is President Andrew Jackson, Vice President Theodore Roosevelt. You never said they had to be alive.

| If Trump runs again, I'll vote for him.

| I'm still neutral thus far, last election I literally wrote in a vote. Honestly though I'm still burnt out from politics, the 2016 election cycle never really ended in many aspects. Between that and going to college there's no way to escape the political realm; especially since games are becoming political or controversial statememts now too.

| >>540791 UBI is a joke. I'm all for public healthcare, but this is ridiculous.

| Join the cult of Cthulhu, sow destruction for our miserable race

| Just want to say that it's worth checking out Joe Rogan's interview with Andrew Yang. Yang brings up what sounds like a silly idea, but once he explains the context, it actually makes more sense.
He also talks about potential problems and solutions rather than bullshit identity politics.

| >>541499 still not cthulhu

| >>540973
Then I'll vote for Sanders, to neutralize your sttupid decision. And I usually don't take part on elections, because in my opinion democracy is a joke.

| >>541768 Speaking of democracy, what are your opinions regarding plurality and popularity? I think that popularity is stupid, because then the coastal regions would always win by sheer numbers alone. Whatever input or opinions the rest may have that the majority won't know about will be nulled, causing a big rift in the political landscape where the 'oppressed' bourgeouis and yuppies lord over the rural areas.

| >>f31d72 ur for public healthcare boi? Here in brazil half of my money, sometimes more goes to pay taxes for SUS, but if someday i need SUS guess what, they'll not help me because the whole idea of the state being a company that you are forced to pay even if you don't use it is rigged.
Everytime this conversation comes up i use "The PS4 Point" basically if you translated the PS4's price from dollar to reals it's about 1000 reals, then guess the launch price? 4000, ye, 3/4 of taxes.

| Basically, because of socialism, now we brazillians pay 3/4 of everything we buy in taxes even though we mostly don't even use public health care, so we just pay more to papa state, yaay

| So! Let's talk north america ! Is Bernie Sanders alive? Hope not
Trump running in 2020? Idk about it, but if he does, it'll be hard between him and those new guys comin' up
Maybe you should vote for hillary that way you will keeo being unemployed and miserable but she'll give you a free pair of socks ♥

| >>541777
>Brasil
No surprises there.

| >>541775
My problem with the democracy in the USA are:
- the two party system
- the presidential system
- cult of personality
- the low quality standards of private media landscape
- no public media at all
- the funding of electional campaigns
- this whole religious stuff (i'd prefer laizism)
- the tight and intransparent relation between public estate and private economy (instutionally and personally)
- to few direct democracy
- elitist and selective education system = dumb masses

| >>541777
>the whole idea of the state being a company
This is the real problem here, noy the idea of public healthcare per se.
In germany public healthcare was introduced by conservatives, which increased workers living standards. The main goal was to reduce the popularity of socialists, which were persecuted at the same time. Private healthcare is only rentable for rich people, but not for the poorer masses. That's how capitalism works.

| >>541855 It's not like there's only two party. The reason it seems so is because of people preferring things simple to understand and to antagonize each other, which leads to the cult of personality part. I also agree that education needs a complete restructure. They're getting not just too politically biased, they're too political period.

Also, I think you mean Lainism as your religion of choice, gurl. Lain loves you.

| >>b93e31 yea unfortunately this country's name is automatically linked to bad stuff, i hope it changes for good in this next decade, i'm optimistic since now the 'car wash operation' can and will arrest any corrupt scumbag, even if he was the president, there's no escape, i think a crime starts to happen less once people start to get punished, and dude, they really weren't..
>>d44ec8 yeah i got confused between a healthcare and insurance for sec

| But trust me, the ammount of taxes you'll get for having a load of public ""free"" services is absurd, they should only charge people who use public healthcare, but then we fall again in that problem of the state being a company, i'm not in favor of the state controlling everything, but also am not in favor of companies doin' what they want and coca cola become silph co. IRL
Oh and btw i'm not wanting to bring the conversation about brazil, it's actually more about healthcare

| >>e50307 now that's a great phrase for him to use in his presidental campaign, it's catchy and i can see people saying it in unison in protests, now imagine that
(North Pole Evil Native Cave Rituals Intensifies)

| >>541892 does cthulhu support mandatory lainism for all americans?

| >>542045 Lain is actually one of the opposing powers that be against the Ancient Ones, although presidency seems beneath her.

| >>542072 how tf you voting for an opponent of lain you heretic

| Lain is god's waifu

| >>edc54e to actually think that 4 years are enough to change the giant capitalism country to a socialist one that accepts 300% inflated price, you must be delusional.

If Trump hasn't even managed to build his wall with the lobby, government shutdown, and border emergency; then Sanders won't be able to change the country to capitalism utopia.

There would probably tax increase, but if it is too much, people will bring their guns to the street.

| >>542309
how did "Lain is god's waifu" get you there g/u/rl???

| >>542387 welp, it was intended for these>>541777 >>541778 and>>541779

But if we've moved on to lain, then there is no need to argue anymore.

| Andrew Yang by far is the best upcoming candidate in my eyes. The man has intention, passion, and makes sense. He seems like he can make all of it work and actually make us proud that he's our leader.

| >>543112 yang is not cthulhu
Universal basic income must be pain and not money

| >>543112 the number of strange and innovative policies he's trying to implement is astounding. in the end, I like him more than the other democrats because the other democrats are all reliant on opposing the republican party, while yang is very centrist.

| Anyone but the cheeto man.

| >>543640 good thing we have cthulhu! He's not orange man, he's not man, nor woman
Just a great old one, son of Nug
Descendant of Azathoth
The one who will bring death to us foolish humans

| I've been running into a lot of Trump supporters lately. Like unexpectantly in a dem area too.

| >>544413 well, there was no collusion, the green new deal failed and the mainstream media went on a meltdown I'm not saying Trump is the best choice(because any sane person would vote on Cthulhu) but many people feel betrayed by the dems and will only vote him out of spite

| American politics

| >>544418
Exactly. Many people who are uncomfortable with Trump will vote for him in order to vote against the brand of crooks they have experience with.

I doubt whether the dems will ever push forward someone like that, because what they need are not policies, but that sort of attitude to the establishment & the electorate.
