When people forget that boys can struggle with eating disorders, it creates such a stigma around it that they aren't able to talk with anyone about it or develop support networks. When they're forgotten about, their lives are ruined or they die.

What? Just becouse someone has diffrent genitals does not inherently make them mentaly diffrent. What next? NOT supposed to throw cats into bondfires for fun? Ridiculous

>>445005 Men and women are slightly mentally different though. Our differences are deeper than just our genitals.

>>449309 Yes, we have different hormones, which affect our behaviour different. But our brains are still the same. One day brain transplantation will be possible, and I'm pretty sure a different sex of giver and receiver wouldn't matter. Most of this mentality stuff is conditioned by society.

>>452839 our "mentally stuff" made our society, not the opposite. Ignoring that men and women are different will not help. Men and women are just complementary , each gender having a better purpose in some sector. Saying we're different doesn't mean that one is superior to another, if you think so, YOU'RE the problem.

>>453592 >our "mentally stuff" made our society, not the opposite. No, economic circumstances made our society. It's the basis for our mentally stuff, which is superstructure. Of course they are influencing each other, which is called dialectic. But the Basis comes first. It's called materialism. Your point of view is metaphysical and biologistic. There are no "purposes" for genders. There is only a purpose for sex: reproduction. Not more, not less. Everything else is ideology.

*only reproduction* uh, kinda wrong if youre only talking about the first bit of that. Child rearing is Also very important from an evolutionary standpoint. Diversification across the two sexes for better child rearing is the basis for the development of "gender". To say that gender has no purpose, then why even bother with it existing? Why would it have even developed? Everything developed had a purpose at some time. Whether ot not it should still fill that purpose is another qstn

>>454146 I'm going to go ahead & say the neurological differences are the cause.
This isn't limited human beings, gender roles are observable in many species. For example the vast majority of the time it's the female bird sitting the nest whilst the male collects food. Is that role somehow artificial? Is the society of finches dominated by a malevolently imposed patriarchy? Of course not, those are just those creatues' natural (neurologically generated) inclinations.
