The sweeping crackdown on dissent in China under Xi Jinping is well known. While most international media reports focus on repression against liberal dissidents it is not unusual for left activists also to be targeted. This is highlighted by an ongoing case in the southern province of Guangdong.

>>152697 Mao, compared to Stalin, was an idealist. But an incompetent, naive and unreflective one. On the other side he never was blamed for it by the suffering masses that he ruled. They believed every shit he told 'em, even today. China is very paradox when it comes to its political/ideological status and History.

China has 5000 years and still going strong. Entering an old 1000 or even 2000 year old temple one can read what is written in the ancient writings in it just as if reading a newspaper bought a few minutes ago. It is everyone else who is strange and stupid as seen from the chinese. And they have witnesed many cultures rise and fall in these last few thousand years, while still being there untroubled in their slow march forward. Probably it is how will be in the future too.
