Russia and Pitler are planning to reintroduce price regulation, which experts say closely resembles the Soviet planned economy— a system that led to widespread shortages, long queues, and decreased productivity — consequences that some now fear may return.

The reason is problems with supply and access to food, where Pitler's solution of price regulation is unlikely to solve the problem and may actually worsen it. Russia's annual inflation has reached nearly 9.5%, while food prices have risen even more, and these are the "official" figures; it is harder to assess the real numbers.

"To try to curb inflation, the Russian government plans to introduce price caps on basic foodstuffs such as vegetables, poultry, and dairy products starting from March next year." Soviet era is making a comeback!

so are they gonna lower the quality of the goods or fur worker pay or what? how are the manufacturer gonna be able to stay afloat if they can't sell for a profit? I'm all for lowering the price on goods to combat greedy overprices but that ain't the case here.
