Yeah, it is concerning. Hopefully they will stop starting or fueling wars someday soon.
Personally, I always see the nordic countries as good examples to follow, as countries. They are fairly peaceful, well educated, efficient and actually concerned with their people's wellbeing.
Sure, they are not perfect, but their miles ahead about fairness and equality.
I also like that about criminals, they prefer to focus on rehabilitation instead of punishment.

| I feel confused about the Nordic countries. If they’re good I want to see them get bigger and put pressure on others to be like them. I get the impression I should visit to make sure they’re good and then plan to live there and support them and have children there? But travel is so expensive. I think make us like them by hosting some refugees who advocate for better things in their home countries and thru stuff like the UN but I’ve never bought a Nordic car or toothbrush.

| Perhaps I’m overestimating exports. I really liked hearing that in Finland the teachers are all phds in their fields instead of ladies shouting at you to do the worksheet while they play on their phones. I don’t really trust teachers to prepare students to be anything but teachers. I wish we maybe required teachers to have had successful jobs in other industries first because that was the only exposure I got to the outside world as a kid was getting to go outside to school.
