Go woke or go broke
| This is my biggest response when people ask what good a temporary boycott will do.
This week is a focused boycott against Amazon. When it ends some people will resume shopping there next week, but plenty won't. Consumer momentum is a thing, and plenty of people won't come back for years or decades, even if their anger at the company has faded.
I was buying my hand soap on amazon, for instance, now I'm ordering direct from the manufacturer, for exactly the same price.

The way I see it, diversity is actually good. Even trying to "force" and request more representation for diverse and queer people is good.
What is NOT good, is attacking and hating heterosexuality, or cis normative behaviour in general. Attacking it only makes the general populace give into resentment and radicalization...
Be smarter! Be friendlier! Use your connections and networks to your advantage and subtly change the world into a more queer one!

I got in a fight today with a ‘trans activist’ who Attacks anyone for not being normal and is really loud and mean to people but we don’t want to be manipulated into attacking people who are lashing out Cuz they were bullied. I don’t feel comfortable being myself around my mom because she is always ready to ‘start a conversation’ which must end in her being right about my being problematic if she notices me but she was bullied by rightists.
| I hope to live somewhere without ‘woke’ people who will bully and attack me and ‘old white Ken’ who I really respect but also with support for trans and different people. I don’t know if it exists, but I think this board is somewhat that. And I think we can stand up for each other while setting clear boundaries not to go too far and become evil like feminists/traditionalists/those who don’t care.
