What do you think VR will look like in the future?
Cyberpunkish headsets with brain-computer interfaces?
Will it just be relegated to crappy entertainment out of fear of misuse?

In the near future, I think we'd get smaller, lighter headsets, or maybe they'll get heavier but more capable of handling intensive tasks.
In the far future, I don't know...brain-computer interface sounds a tad bit scary, but I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually reach something like that.
Also isn't VR used for more than just entertainment, like robots and shit? Or would that be classified as Augmented/Mixed Reality?

I think the most reasonable future for VR is more affordable headsets that are wireless, and those haptic gloves becoming common place instead of controllers. Personally that's all I want

It'll follow market trends, whatever that means.

I feel like it'll find a dedicated subculture but most people will not use it due to price or inconvenience, or only use it for one popular program like VRChat

Hopefully this useless shit disappears, along with all the shitty games it brought.

It needs to become more affordable first, or at least, cheaper implements like Cardboard need to be made.
