I doubt the aesthetic will ever become so niche it dies, any more than goth or hip-hop aesthetics will die. There's always going to be a portion of the population it appeals to. And there's always going to be a place for the slow-burn corporate horror stories that are part of cyberpunk, because it reflects fears of what might/is happening.
And even if we reach the point where there's no longer that active fear, it's become a part of the western cultural gestalt.
