What's post-cyberpunk? Like cyberpunk is the world we head to right now, but what's post-cyberpunk? Is it just a destroyed earth because of global warming and some rich people living in a space station like in Wall-E?

"If, however, you have a world that has some redeeming features, is not controlled by the State and/or Mega Corp., technology isn't screwing everything up, and the protagonists are trying to fix social problems from within rather than rebelling against society from without, you have Post-Cyber Punk."
You can read more on TV Tropes, but that should cover the basics.

i always liked both, and i've always wanted to see sort of a blending of the two? i dunno, i think that would make for a refreshing cyberpunk universe

>>405232 Post-cyberpunk is just the works inspired by cyberpunk which are not themselves cyberpunk. It's a bunch of handwavey bullshit as to what is what, as these things often are, but the thing people usually point to is whether or not the protagonist is an outsider.
