Play the original first. It's a entirely different experience and the original actually has atmosphere while the new ones have the plastic cinematic 'atmosphere'. The original is like Escape from NY and the latest games are like Michael Bay movies.

I'd say they're better for someone new to the series than they are for people who enjoyed the originals

No. Deus Ex is an FPS with RPG elements and the story revolves around conspiracies and authoritarianism. The new games are cinematic, generic FPS that revolve around sci-fi technology and "ethics". The new games are dogshit.

Depends what you like, personally I thought the recent games were pretty meh. Almost invisible war tier, but I'm sure if you don't have a deus ex fan's expectations they're all right.

They are almost not deus ex. The setting changed from "world where conspiracies are real" to "what is the societal impact of this new tech?". You can probably guess who is behind this change.

The new one seems to be shit. But Deus Ex 3 was pretty good imo.

>>30899 Agreeing with this, felt like human revolution was enjoyable, but the first was an experience. No idea about the third.
