Do you think a sheltered life makes you more into hardcore stuff?

| Yes and no. Having triggers related to that stuff definitely turns you off from it, and when you're more grounded and more often in the real world than in the otaku, shut-in fantasy one, that kinda stuff is not very appealing.
I can confirm as someone who was very sheltered and was either into or didn't care about the stuff that you mentioned, but after getting a social life and seeing the real world more I now can't stand most of it. Especially unconsentual and loli/shota stuff.
