I think they're great for game preservation and giving people the ability to play things they wouldn't otherwise have access to for whatever reason, but I personally prefer to play games on original hardware any time I'm able to. It's just a shame that the collector's market tends to make old games and systems so expensive to get your hands on.

They're pretty neat in what they do. I have a GBA one on my phone; it's fun to go back to older titles every once in a while, even if it's not quite the real deal.
