| I think the anime is fine? Not as stylized as the manga, but that's just the reality of anime adaptation.
| what is your problem whit mappa? any other studio would have made similar, maybe even worse adaptations. the music is amazing, the voice acting is insanely good, and the animation is well enough! what more would you even need?
