| It's fun. Kinda dumb sometimes, but in a fun way, and sometimes it's genuinely thoughtful. Wouldn't call it top-tier, but it's definitely up there.

| 1st season sucks ass. So much flashbacks, the villain is such a joke. I think it is below mediocre, unless you in it for the pretty bois. Idk why I watched the 2nd season, all I remember are the 3 factions war is pretty cool, and the last battle is just your typical shonen protagonist getting up infinitely until the villain lose.

Man, yeah, the pacing is all over the place (both seasons, but s2 is better). It's definitely character before plot.
BSD is one of my fav anime but I wouldn't be able to tell you what actually happens in it lmao, but I can give you an extensive talk about the characters and their relationships with each other.
