I want to watch some Gundam... but I don't know what to prioritize...

So I'm watching chunks of long-running series, to better understand them, enough to play tie-in games and understand what's going on, without watching everything (Like watching the first 130ish episodes of One Piece, for example). I downloaded the original few seasons of Gundam, but I dunno where to go from there. What are the iconic choices to tackle?

Depends if you prefer chronological order or production order. The movie trilogy or original tv show, is the basis, but gundam origin is a really nice prequel to start with but it will spoil a little (really similar to star wars prelogy). From there you can watch every OVA(which I think are way more superior to tv shows) in the order you want. And simultaneously you can just follow the main tv show/movie order : zeta, zz, char counter attack, unicorn etc...

I've never touched UC. Is it safe to watch Hathaway?

>>850299 Maybe, but I'd watch Char's Counterattack at least, to see the MC's backstory

I mean, I had already watch uc timeline when hathaway came out, but I still was perplexe after watching it. Well most likely I'll need to watch the following movies to understand why terrorism is good smh.
But yeah kiddo's back story is in char counter attack, but it is also the final of the char/amuro arc. But nothing stop you to watch the rest of the timeline to see a particular part.
