gee I dunno. I didn't bother with the anime. I'm knee deep in manga rabbit hole. One piece anime is low quality anyhow, really. The only shonen manga to get a decent anime adaptation is Hunter x Hunter (2011). And by quality I'm referring to animation and pacing. Maybe you can appreciate the voice acting...?

>>844469 I estimated that if you read the manga you can save half the time, considering there are about as many anime episodes as manga chapters, and each manga chapter takes about 10-15 minutes to read compared to 24 minutes of anime.
Even faster if you're "marathoning" since you can skim a lot without losing too much information (I skimmed a lot of dressrosa that is mostly involving minor characters not directly related to the strawhat pirates).

But I get it that you'd want to stick with one medium. Maybe you can also skip a bulk of the minor fights and just focus on Luffy vs [insert main villain of the arc]. Then read missing information on the wiki, which as long as you got to the latest chapter won't get you spoiled. And really no shame in that, even Oda admitted to using the wiki (a japanese one presumably) because this series is ridiculously huge.
