I've tried watching a lot of different anime/genres in my time, but I feel like Nichijou is the one of the few I keep coming back to. Any similar shows I should start watching?

These come to mind:
And Yet the Town Moves Asobi Asobase Azumanga Daioh Chio's School Road Cromartie High School The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Sabage-bu! Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time
Most fall into the SoL with some random comedy in the mix. You’ve probably seen Asobi Asobase, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to mention it just in case.

Sorry, but there is none. Anime had peaked. There is no way forward.

>>843733 >he is a delinquent and heroin addict, and (unbeknownst to himself) results in a career as the head thug, or "school guardian" at his new school.
Uhh, this doesn't seem similar to Nichijou at all...

by the way, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is animated by the same studio as Nichijou

>>843754 im sorry but where did u find that description? Thats not completely wrong (at least only for episode 1) but thats like the worst way to describe the greatness of GTO. Something more apt would be- >An ex-gang leader puts his past behind him in pursuit of becoming the greatest teacher in Japan, but his homeroom class of the worst problem children are doing everything they can to bring his career to the ground.
GTO is literally full of funny shit, badassery, and feels

Oh can't forget The Daily Lives of Highschool Boys. Also the "poor man's Gintama", Sket Dance

>>843889 the problem of that first anime is it's literally called "Boys Nichijou". As a yuri connoisseur myself I never bothered.

>>843889 Amazed this wasn't the first thing that was recommended. I'd honestly put it next to Nichijou. Very much missing out

All my homies love Nichibro

>>843865 It's a description of Angel Densetsu, not GTO. GTO is superb but it's nothing like Nichijou.

An easier wya to find Nichijou-adjacent anime would be to look for stuff tagged with both Comedy and Absurdism. Nichijou is primarily characterized by a combination of absurdist humour and slice'of'life sentiments

>>845208 My method is finding other anime that are adapted from 4komas, like Nichijou was.

If you want something as funny as Nichijou, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Grand Blue Dreaming.
