Shit with like criminal levels of cliffhanger.
For me it's Deadman Wonderland, Panty and Stocking, and Ouran Highschool Host Club
What're some of your anime you're still mad about?

None, because I gave up and just read manga or watch indie cartoon.
But if I must, well I'm still waiting for NGNL season 2. I ain't gonna start reading novels.

I'm only mad at 2 animes: - One Punch Man because I've been waiting for Season 3 for so long - Absolute Duo because of the wasted potential of the concept. (A fricking combat academia to train and use the Blaze, a weaponized version of your soul. That is awesome.)

Deadman Wonderland is mad-worthy, for several reasons. Also Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, because the titular character and one of her girl orbiters were so cute together and were having a heart to heart and theydidn't even bother going to gay route. Cowards. I'm even more sad about it than I was about Hibike Euphonium.

One Piece post time skip, Mayoiga, anything that got an ugly CGI adaptation

>>841702 lmao, what's to be mad about mayoiga? It's a complete nosedive and everyone that watches when it was aired already watching it as a comedy show starting at episode 7 or so. People that watch it after it is finished airing probably watched it because the show gets in the "worst anime ever" list.

>>841702 sadly anything CGI is ugly because they didn't realize we have 60 fps streaming now and 24 fps is simply not enough for smooth 3D animation that lacks hand drawn smear frames.

The Pandora Hearts anime didn't do the manga justice at all.

To this day, I don't remember if Witch Hunter Robin really ended like that, or if I just missed the last episode.

I don't feel strongly about it now (because it's been a fucking decade and I forgot everything), but I remember Guilty Crown pissing me off at the time. At least the ost was killer.
Psycho Pass 2 was a goddamn disgrace to the first season. Every week I got into retarded MAL fights about how atrocious it was. Those were the days...
Also remember the big reveal in Samurai Flamenco pissing a lot of people off. Imo that shit was fucking tight and made me love it even more.

>>d8d027 I've heard a lot of peeps share that sentiment on PP Season 2. I thought S2 was alright I guess but not as good as season 1. What do people not like about Season 2? Am curious .w.

Elfen Lied. First I saw the anime, and some time later the original manga. The ending on the anime version was so incredibly stupid compared to the manga one, that since then I gave up on anime adaptations.

>>841895 It's mostly a blur to me now. I remember not liking any of the new cast, especially the antagonist and his goofy-ass origin. A lot of the season felt half baked and contrived, as if it were hastily cobbled together to tie S1 to the movie. The only thing I recall liking was Akane's development. Not to be overly harsh, but I really did hate S2 lol. I generally don't bash things like I used to back then, so I'd probably feel less strongly if I were to ever rewatch it.

I think the biggest one for me will always be the Boogiepop series. Phantom was a spin-off and the newer adaptation only covers the first 6 LNs (there are 23 last time I checked with several spin off books in the same universe.
Other than that:
Berserk - I wish we’d get a proper adaptation not to mention the manga may never finish. RIP Miura

Shows that are/were doomed to only get a 12 episode season.
Monmusu Haganai (show was mid but I wanted to see it end) Girlfriend X Girlfriend And yet the town Moves (absolutely adored this show) Kakegurui (technically got 2 seasons, but I hear the end of xx deviates from the manga)
These are just recent examples and shows I’ve watched that come to mind, but there are too many to count. They sometimes feel like promos to force you to go read the manga

>>841723 people laughed at the hippo song in the first episode, but expected that the show will change tone once someone die in a bloody way.
The director worked on dokuro chan and blood c, so we were expecting some goofy blood-soaked deaths. A guy on r/anime even made a chart about which character die/missing/alive and he looked like a clown at the end of the show.

A few episodes in, the execution girl started the engine. And then the puking girl forgot her gimmic and able to start fire and shit. The guy who say he doesn't trust anybody, left the group saying "feel free to join me". After that, people just gave up wanting to be scared and just laugh at the show.

Not anime, but manga. Read Ichigo 100%. Am still so unreasonably mad Manabu never picked Toujou in the end. It's been so long I don't even remember the other girl's name, but she was so unnecessarily pushy.

Panty and Stocking with Gartebelt: Been waiting almost a decade for a second season that will never happen and one of the worst cliff-hangers in anime imo :')

>>841646 I wasn't eve mad at the ending of Panty and Stocking because it was so obvious they were going to do something, and it just fell incredibly flat. It was more of a disappointment than anything, really awful way for the show to go out.
