| and they have no magic or holy abilities, they live normal lives and serve no special purpopse in the world. Following Rakka's life and friendships in her new life was one of the best experiences I've ever had while watching an anime, and I highly recommend the show to anybody who enjoys Lain or any of ABe's work.

| So for those of you interested in the works of Yoshitoshi ABe (main artist for Lain) I highly recommend watching a show called Haibane Renmei, it follows a girl named Rakka who awakens in a dream in which she's falling from the sky. She wakes up in a home full of angels and is unable to remember who she once was. By the end of the first episode Rakka grows her angel wings and receives her halo. The angels themselves known as the Haibane are just normal people-
