They can be offensive ones, defensive ones, or any other functionality. Everyone talks about weapons in anime, but I feel like there are some sick gadgets out there and they don't get enough love.
One of my favourites have to be the impact dials from One Piece. Now it's your turn!

I guess this thread was a bad idea considering the lose definitions of it.
"a small mechanical or electronic device or tool, especially an ingenious or novel one"
So, a gun doesn't really fit that. Deathnote doesn't really either. But, that's on me for not starting off the thread with the definition.

>>767546 guns are small (relatively), mechanical, and a device. I'd also argue they're pretty complicated, and the workings of them are somewhat ingenious. :3

Pyscho-Pass Dominator. Sure its a gun, that talks to you and only shoots people it wants to. BUT when it does shoot people THEY FRIGGIN EXPLODE!

>>767604>>767632 But, there's a reason why I separated it from weapons! Everyone talk about anime weapons all the time. Now love for the weird little devices that come in surprisingly handy when you least expect it. Guns in anime are really cool though, but, still!

>>767667 alright, alright, let's set aside the "is a gun a gadget" debate, and propose a new question.
/u/, what's your favourite gadget that isn't a gun/weapon from any anime/manga? :3

>>767685 No! I don't want that! So dummy.
Thread back. Talk gadget, not weapons. Guns are weapons, for those who weren't aware. 3, 2, 1... GO!!!!

I always was crazy about the thing that Leila from futurama has on her arm, but now we have smartphone. It's not an anime so let's say the one from moldiver that transform to surhuman and can even change your appearance.

If the anime styled batman movie counts you could put his gadgets into it but I for some reason have a hard time thinking about gadgets in anime since I don't really remember any, maybe the capsules from dragon ball? fit a whole fucking house in it why don't you
