Anime that is surprisingly depressing?

|

| Your Lie in April tore my heart out. But I also really get into the shows I watch, so almost anything can tear my heart out.

| watamote

| Kuzu no Honkai

| Air

| Welcome to NHK

| Gunbuster

In fact, most of gainax anime

| Castlevania

| Full Metal Panic Invisible Victory

| Cowboy bebop in the end

| Ping Pong the animation, Kaiba, welcome to the nhk, Texnholyze, serial experiments lain

| Your life.

| +1 for welcome to the nhk

| Gungrave

| >>453067 Kuzu no Honkai was a gut punch.

| Made in abyss

| I guess I'll say Anohana

| >>2d86f5 I agree

| For me, 5 Centimeters Per Second. I knew it had a reputation for it's ending, and Shinkai movies usually make me at least tear up a bit, but the first chapter (with the train trip) really fucked me up. The other two were good but the first literally made me (realise i was) depressed.

How is Kuzu no Honkai a depressing show?

| Sasami-san @ ganbaranai and Sayonara Zetsubou sensei.

| Little Busters after the 1st season.

| SankaRea. Why would Rea's dad do something like that? Whyyyyyyyyy????

You're so right, also the Manga, man...

| >>466398 I just might read the manga because the studio never bothered to finish animating the rest. But at the same time, the series doesn't really interest me enough to pursue closure.

| I would suggest Orange since its kinda talks about depression and stuff and still sweet and shoujo

| Ao hana

| Hagenai hits way too close to home sometimes

| Devilman Crybaby ruined my days for a while. Made in Abyss still makes me sad and I love it.
