Mate you do know we can only post spoilers and link posts right? Only if you log in as a dev can you post other styles and colours and what not.

| ahhh okay that explains... but than another question were do devs log in... there is no login site on this page. thats why i thought everyone can do it cause it looks like that nobody can be dev. except there sit on the PC which hosts this site.

| Settings/janitor login...

##Dev:Lain##

| >>283701 >>283930
The login page is >>>mod
The way the UI determines whether it should interpret tags like colors or something is whether the post has a capcode or not.

If you are logged in as a mod, no matter what level of permissions you do or don't have, even if you decide not to put a capcode on your post, your post will have a capcode of _hidden, which tells the UI code that tags should still be interpreted. You can see which posts have no capcode versus which posts have a capcode of _hidden from the API.

The code is there for janitors to be able to remove a capcode from a post they made and capcoded, or remove the _hidden from a post made by their IP. They can also add capcodes (including _hidden) to posts made by their IP, in case they forgot or they weren't logged in.
Unfortunately that code has not been pulled into the main site by prefetcher yet.

| You can see how all of it works by looking at the code, it's open source. github.com/nilesr/awoo

Thank you for that amount of information. Maybe i will experiment with awoo a litte bit on my own. burg woke some interests in me.

In my browser there is no Settings/janitorlogin page.

| >>284142
The janitor login page is part of the app. The app logs in using the same endpoint as /mod, but we do it differently in the app because we need to save the password so that we can log in automatically when the user starts the app, and also so that the api calls it makes share the same session cookie.

So if you log in using the janitor login page in the app, all the api calls will use the new authorizer, and the boards list will include /staff/, etc..

| This is the code for the janitor login fragment https://github.com/nilesr/United4/blob/master/app/src/main/java/com/angryburg/uapp/fragments/JanitorLoginFragment.java

and this is the code for the authorizer https://github.com/nilesr/United4/blob/master/app/src/main/java/com/angryburg/uapp/API/Authorizer.java

| It's always nice to learn more about how the app works behind the scenes.
