I'm about to get myself some HP Compaq OEM PC for Win XP stuff
| I don't even think they make 300W PSUs anymore. Why not just open it up and check the capacitors? That's the main thing that could go wrong with the entire PC anyway, and since it's not been used for years, voltage leak should make it so you have no real way of shocking yourself.

| I don't intend to game on it, I just need it to record MIDI from SB Live 5.1. It has a 300W PSU but given that the PC is from 2005-2006, I don't know whether I should trust it long term.
What PSU should I get for it just in case?
